SoM IIT Guwahati Opens Application 2026 for MBA Candidates: The School of Business (SoM) at IIT Guwahati (Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati or IIT G) has officially opened admissions for its MBA program for the July 2026 session. The application process is currently active and must be completed online.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Entrance Exam: A valid CAT score.
• CAT Sectional Cutoff: Minimum 60 percentile in the Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section.
• Academic Record: At least 65% marks (or 6.5 CPI) in Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor’s degree.
  • Note: There is a 5% relaxation (minimum 60%) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

MBA Selection Process ~IIT Guwahati uses a two-stage process to select its cohort of 30 students.

Stage 1: Shortlisting for Interview

Candidates are shortlisted based on a Composite Score calculated as follows:

• CAT Performance: 80% weightage.
• Gender Diversity: 10% weightage (awarded to non-male candidates).
• Work Experience: 10% weightage (maximum marks for 12–24 months; 0 marks for >48 months).

Stage 2: Final Selection

Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Personal Online Interview. The final merit list is prepared using:

• CAT Weightage: 60%
• Personal Interview: 40%

Application Fees, Seats and Tuition Fees

• Application Fee: Rs. 1,600 for General/OBC-NCL candidates; Rs. 800 for Female, Transgender, SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
• Seat Intake: Total of 30 seats (12 Open, 3 EWS, 8 OBC-NCL, 5 SC, 2 ST).
• MBA Fee: Rs.9.64 Lakhs.

2. Register on the Application Portal and fill in your CAT 2025 details.
3. Upload required documents (Photo, Signature, CAT Scorecard, and Academic Certificates).
