About IIM Tiruchirappalli: – Established in 2011, IIM Tiruchirappalli is the 11th IIM to be set up in India and has grown into one of the country’s top public business schools. Nestled in the vibrant city of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, the institute is focused on shaping capable, responsible leaders who can make a meaningful impact in the business world and beyond. It currently ranks 27th among management institutes in India, according to the NIRF.

IIM Trichy Placement 2025: Indian Institute of Management, Trichy (IIM Trichy or IIMT), wrapped up its 2023-2025 placement season with more than 150 recruiters offering 320 roles across various programs. Despite the overall positive outcome, about 30 to 33 PGPM students were left without placements, sparking unease among some students.

MBA PLACEMENT HIGHLIGHTS: –

• The highest salary offered was Rs. 43.94 lakh for the Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM)
• The highest salary offered was Rs. 33.12 lakh for the Post-Graduate Programme in Management – Human Resources (PGPM-HR)
•  Average CTC (PGPM): Rs. 19.27 LPA
• Average CTC (PGPM-HR): Rs. 17.84 LPA
• Total Students Eligible: 408

• Total Offers Secured: ~320 (Including Final Placements & PPOs)

KEY RECRUITERS: –

Renowned firms from across sectors participated in the process, reaffirming IIM Trichy’s reputation for managerial excellence. Prominent recruiters included: McKinsey & Company, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Accenture, Godrej, Shell, along with public sector giants such as GAIL, CPCL, and VOC Port.

The placement season at IIM Trichy showcased a diverse mix of offers across key domains, including consulting, BFSI, FMCG, operations, IT/Analytics, and HR, reflecting the institute’s strong industry alignment. While many students celebrated successful placements, some chose to step away from the campus process to follow entrepreneurial dreams or seek roles that felt like a better personal fit. However, with the job market becoming increasingly selective, a few are still on the lookout for the right opportunity. 

Commenting on the season, Director Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, “This season reflected our students’ determination, resilience, and readiness to meet industry expectations.”.

The final placements for the PGPM 2022–24 batch saw a significant rise in recruiter participation, with over 192 companies making 329 offers. The PGPM-HR batch also experienced impressive growth, attracting 42 companies, marking a 51% increase from the previous year, and receiving 29 offers. The average CTC stood at ₹19.43 lakh for PGPM (MBA) and ₹17.88 lakh for PGPM-HR (MBA HRM).
