IIM Visakhapatnam: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) is a public business school and Institute of National Importance located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the twenty Indian Institutes of Management. The institution started the first batch of its Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management from August 2015. The institute offers Post Graduate, Doctoral and Executive Education programmes.

Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam (IIM V) has achieved 100% summer placements for its MBA batch 2020-22 as per reports. Highest stipend offered was INR 2 lac, the stipend for the top 25% stood at INR 1.17 lac and the top 10 percentile at INR 1.46 lac.

This represents a 20.4% increase in the average stipend offered last year at INR.62,264 in comparison to last year’s average stipends. More than 50 companies participated in the process and made multiple offers. According to IIM-V officials, these figures broke all their previous records and set new benchmarks.

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV or IIM Visakhapatnam ) completed summer placements for the MBA 2022-24 batch. The highest stipend stood at Rs. 2.5 lakhs, while the stipend across the batch averaged at about Rs. 80,000 (up 38% from the batch 2021 -23).

Incidentally, this was the largest batch at IIM V consisting of 272 students being placed for summer internships.

The sectors that offered the placements include pharma and healthcare (7%), edtech and education (7%), real estate and construction (4%) and other sectors like fintech, e-commerce, etc.

IT/ITeS sector alone accounted for 22% of the total offers made.

IIM Vizag Director Prof. (Dr.) M Chandrasekhar, said, “I am positive many of them will land plum final placement offers during their summer stints itself. The 100% summer placement results uphold the legacy of IIMV, with the students achieving the milestone despite the fears of recession”.

IIM V witnessed participation by new and existing recruiters spread across industries and domains. Held on a rolling basis, the summer placement season witnessed more than 110 companies participating in the process and making multiple offers.
